Just found you tonight as a birth junkie, I hadda read this post.

Glad it turned out ok for both of you. Wow, long pushing time. I had two and it took four pushes the first time and two the second-i’m ducking so if you want to toss a dog toy at me it’s ok !~!

She’s beautiful and I look forward to reading you as time goes by.

Thank you so much for the kind words, Lynda. I wish you no ill will for your quick and easy pushes! That sounds fantastic - more power to you!

I wonder how many births actually go to plan? We were also desperate to have a natural birth but it all went quite traumatically wrong! Like you, I am so grateful that I have a beautiful, healthy baby girl! Here's our story if you're interested... http://www.nigglynoo.com/blog/a-story-of-amazing-grace/

Found your blog through http://pdxmomma.com and her guest post. I swear your birth story could be mine! The water broken for a long time, the resisting of Pitocin, the contractions not progressing you, the 4 hours of pushing. All worth it in the end. Looking forward to following your blog.

@Karen - yay for late December birthdays!

@payettestork - so glad you found me! Definitely worth it in the end. It's funny that in retrospect those 4 hours seemed to fly by ;)
