Must Have Monday - Save me from germies!

Since Carina is sitting up completely on her own now, we have ventured out to a couple restaurants without the infant seat.  We've put her in the high chair instead!  And thank goodness for our Jeep Shopping Cart and High Chair Cover, because the high chairs in both places we went were grimy and full of crumbs.  I cringed at the thought of putting Carina in them without a layer (a large layer) between her and the sordid seat.

Jeep Shopping Cart and High Chair Cover
Not Carina, obviously (she's much cuter)
The seat cover is completely covers both the high chairs and the shopping carts we have encountered thus far, and is quite cushy.  Carina really seems to like sitting in it.  There are loops along the front to hook toys into, which comes in handy while Mama is taking her sweet time matching up her coupons with the weekly sales ;)

It's machine washable and dryer-safe, has straps to keep baby in safely, and there is even a zippered compartment in which to put a burp cloth, snack, and/or Mommy's coupons.  I think it's a pretty cute gender neutral pattern, too.

Here's Carina with it - much cuter ;)
Do you have a similar cover?  Or do you brave the high chairs and shopping carts sans protection?

Hey Missy! This is my first time posting a comment. My name is Annie and I have been following your blog since the ttgp days of the bump. I have a daughter of my own (4 months) and use much of your advice etc. Where do you get her adorable headbands?

Obviously much cuter! :)

I just wipe down the carts with an antibacterial wipe...I even have a little pack of them in my purse if the store doesn't have them at the front.

Nice! I need to remember that the cart cover works with high chairs, too! I have only put Olive in a cart one time, but we have the Bright Starts pink one. Great invention!

too cute! we have two actually -- and we sometimes use them on the cart/highchair but lately we have just been wiping it down to clean it and plopping her into it- but when she was younger, we always used the cover - it helped hold her in place too when she was smaller!

We have the same cover and used it for the first time over the weekend! I agree - it's great! And Carina is definitely much cuter! :)

Cute! I have an Eddie Bauer one, but man oh man do I agree about how gross those carts are. So glad to have the cover!

So cute! I have a cart cover and I find it much easier than lugging the infant seat into and out of the cart. We haven't tried it on the high chairs at restaurants, but we try to avoid eating out because Monkey tends to have meltdowns.

We have that exact same cover. I'm just waiting for Andrew to be big enough to sit on his own to use it.

I have the Babe Ease shopping cart cover and I love it. It's so nice to use it when I'm grocery shopping with my daughter. And I'm a big complete germaophobe too. The one time I didn't use her shopping cart cover (I accidentally left it at home), she got sick from the shopping cart. :( Never again will I forget it!

I've been checking out covers like that the last few times we've hit the baby section. I definitely want to get one!

@Annie - So glad to see you commenting! It makes me so happy to hear that you have been following since then and that you find my advice helpful :)

So far I've gotten all of her headbands on Etsy from various sellers. I will go back and figure out which ones they were, and post links later!

We have that exact same cover and love it :) I love that it folds up in to it's own pouch and has the handles, too - super easy to carry with my reusable shopping bags.

We live life on the edge and I don't own one. I use some organic nursery wipes to wipe down surfaces that she likes to gum.
