Cross your fingers for us!

Last week, M was at a Chemistry conference in Newport, Rhode Island. He had the opportunity to chat with quite a few professors that he would be interested in working for when he graduates with his PhD next year.

He initiated contact with the one who he is most interested in working for yesterday and just heard back; the professor is very interested in hearing from M, and wants him to send his info (resume, transcript, publication, etc.) as soon as possible!

This would be huge for us. The professor is at Yale, which is not only a fantastic University, but in the perfect location. New Haven, CT is about half way between my family in Massachusetts, and M's family is Pennsylvania. We could absolutely live there for 2-4 years (the typical Post-Doc fellowship duration)!

Please cross your fingers for us!

Fingers are crossed! You know that they are crossed in a totally selfish way though, right? I may have mentioned this before...New Haven is less than 3.5 hours from me, too. We could meet in NYC for lunch, dinner, etc. OXOXOX
